Win a dribbble invite!

We’re looking for some awesome designers to make beautiful themes for CardFlick. Submit your design and win a dribbble invite from us. We want to see how beautiful you can make a digital business card. The easiest way to get started is look at our existing dribbble shots.

Rules

  1. Follow @cardflick on twitter to get contest updates
  2. Download the theme template
  3. Email info@cardflick.co a 640x960 png of your theme by Friday August 26, 2011 midnight.
  4. Make sure to include your name and twitter handle in the email.
  5. Winner will be announced Monday August 29th, 2011!
  6. All design is owned by you. The winner will be included in our app at launch and get full rights to their theme, including promotion on our site. 

Tips

  • Show some love on twitter with the hash tag #dribbblecontest about this post.
  • Feel free to ask us for feedback for work in progress, tweet, email or upload your design and let @cardflick know about by including the hash tag.
  • We recommend you use LiveView on your iPhone and Mac to help test out the designs. It’s free and indispensable!

Design Guidelines

First, the themes are designed to work at iPhone 4 resolution (640x960). They need to be designed with certain features in mind and:

  1. Have strong visual impact
  2. Be distinct from other existing themes
  3. Support user profile images of 112x112 size
  4. Support variable length fields like name, email, tagline, etc
  5. Be readable at mobile viewing distances.
  6. Not have any copyright issues (no stock please!)

Here’s a list of what you can do

  • Be Creative!
  • Use large images (custom photography encouraged!)
  • Be Playful
  • Use Web Fonts! (TypeKit, Font Deck etc)
  • Be specific to certain business types (photographer, lawyer, doctor, etc)
